Halloween 2007

Happy Halloween!

:)

We just got back from the Amherst Center Mall's Trick or Treat walk.

Haven and I are dressed up as 90% angels 10% devils...

Drew was a skeleton, Myles was Darth, and Kale was a Shadow Ninja.

I was a little bit surprized that no other parents were dressed up.

I mean, literally, NO other parents.

I guess I just figure Halloween is a great excuse to dress up silly and have a good time... but I must be the only parent thinking this way...

I did get a couple of comments at Tim Hortans!!!

You can always count on some cute old man to have a compliment in his back pocket.

Just close your eyes and it is like you are there...

...

Yay! Music Day...

With the new Eagles CD being released, I designated today "music day"...

:)

(Homeschooling rocks!)

It started off this morning:

Background:

Yesterday we were listening to "America" while driving through town, and the kids were trying to sing the chorus for Sandman. It is a bit daunting....

So at 7am this morning I wrote the Chorus on the chalkboard.

After reading the chorus, only one time each, they know it!

:)

And now, what a bunch of clowns. They have been bopping around here singing or whistling it for the last 2 hrs....

"I understand you've been running from the man that goes by the name of the Sandman..... "

Now we are off to go buy the new Eagles CD!!!

Yay!!!!

It snows!!!

You could feel it and smell it yesterday in the air...

And right now, the white stuff is falling.

:)

It is nothing but a tease. It doesn't seem to be accumulating...

I love snow. I was born Christmas Eve.... but I have quite a love/hate relationship with the whole holiday...

I have hated having a birthday Christmas Eve. I would spend it alone every year... all my friends were busy with their families... I never had parties... :(

(sniff sniff)

But i did get into a tradition over the years: mom and dad would give me $20 and I would buy a magazine and sit at "the Skillet" and eat fries and gravey.

Yup.

Then, I met Kyle Oct'97, and that Christmas Kyle went to the States...

By the following Christmas Drew was 3 months old and I have always had company on my birthday.

:)

Last Christmas Kyle took the kids to Digby. I can't remember if it was Christmas day or boxing day. And this year I expect the same thing. All I want, is to see them on my birthday. That is the best Christmas gift!

I hope to do another Polar Dip Jan 1st...

anybody else wanna check that off their "to do before I die" list?

:)

My new home...

Well after fighting with Yahoo'360 for a couple of months and things not getting any better, i decided to move house...

I will try this site on for size...

:)

so far so good....
